Barack Obama is turning to the web as he becomes US president

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Barack Obama has created a website called Change.gov to provide a guide to the transition process. The site also solicits suggestions from US citizens about their vision for America, and lets them apply for a post with the new administration.

The Obama Administration has a comprehensive and detailed policy agenda. Among many important domestic and foreign policy objectives, priorities of the Obama Administration include: a plan to revive the economy; provide affordable, accessible health care to all; strengthen our public education and social security systems; define a clear path to energy independence and tackle climate change; end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan; work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

Visit the site and read the full agenda

Doxmart goes International

Doxmart goes International

Last week we went live with our first foreign language site as Doxmart in Italian launched at www.doxmart.it. The Italian site launch has been managed by Doxmart founding director Vito Fortunato who has led the translation team.

The site will be the first networking and knowledge sharing site specifically tailored for Italian speaking users.

Says Vito Fortunato:  “I am confident that the Italian people will quickly understand the aims of the site and make it their first choice community for exchanging knowledge, contacts and experience”.

We continue to grow our Doxmart International footprint. For the first time ever, our greatest number of visitors is from India, followed by the UK, USA, Pakistan and then Italy.  Italian is the third most widely used language on Doxmart (after UK and US English).  We would love to hear from members worldwide so do contact us, respond to our blogs or send links to your web sites/blogs etc. for us to link to.
