Take the Lead

Groups are now up and running on Doxmart. You can quickly and easily create a Group or join a Group. Within your Groups you can invite others to join and start or get involved in discussions with other group members. Plus as the group creator you are able to send messages to all group members.

Creating a group is a great way of raising your profile on Doxmart by taking the lead for your areas of expertise. So why not take this opportunity to be the first to set up a group for your special interests and engage with others through Doxmart.

Keep track of items of interest

Have you seen the new notes feature now live on Doxmart?

You can make notes on most pages you look at on Doxmart so you can keep track of what interests you and why.  So if a document is of interest to you and you want to come back to it in the future just go to ‘My Notes’ in the right menu and type in why you might want to look at it again. Or if there’s another member who you think you might wish to connect with or contact  in the future use the notes space to keep a record of this.

When you review your notes you get a list of what you have entered with a link to that page so you can quickly and easily find the things you want. Doxmart is the only site of this kind that give you this service.

We are constantly enhancing the site based on member feedback to improve our service to you. Keep a look out this week as new features are added which show you the up to date activity of members in your network.

Become known as an expert

Did you know that when you answer questions posted by other members you can be awarded Expert Points (XP)? Your total XP is then shown on your profile page for others to see.

This is how it works:

When a member posts a question they decide how many XP points they want to allocate to the question. As others answer the question the member who posted the question can award these XP points based on the answers and how helpful they are.

It’s up the individual how many points they allocate to the question, if they award points each time they get an answer or wait until the time limit for the question is up and then share out the points. They may decide not to award any points or just some depending on the help received.

It’s a simple and effective way to give feedback to contributors. As more members post questions and seek help it will also quickly give others a measure of your expertise.

Engage with others on topics of interest

Doxmart aims to bring together people, knowledge and opportunities. To support this, the new Q & As service (accessed from the top menu) introduced this month enables you to:

  • Find questions that other members have posted. Simply enter your search terms to look for topics of interest. Soon you will be also be able to search by category.
  • Ask a question so it is made available for all other Doxmart members to answer. You can then award points to the best answers (more on this in a future blog). Members can also subscribe to your question and be updated if any answers are posted or the question is updated by you.
  • Keep a record of questions you have asked and the responses you have received.
  • Track the answers you have given to questions posted by others.

Make the most of this free service by engaging with the Doxmart community to gather information, seek help, discuss areas that are of interest to you, seek opinions or cause debate. Current topics in the Q& As include member netball.coach looking for ideas for netball training sessions and member management.trainer asking for views on a specific product.

So now you can tap into the vast amount of knowledge in the Doxmart Community or help others by sharing your expertise.

Plus, remember if there is a particular member you would like to contact you can invite them to join your network or use the messaging service to contact them directly.
